Nick Warren

Chief Strategy Officer

Nick currently serves as CSO of Bluebonnet Infrastructure. He has spent the entirety of his career in the energy industry, solely focused on midstream investments and transactions across the private equity and investment banking sectors.

Prior to co-founding Bluebonnet, Nick was the Director of Finance of Piñon Midstream, where he helped lead the corporate finance and business development efforts, ultimately building Piñon into a near $1 billion enterprise.

Nick also was a key member of the finance and corporate development team at NorTex Midstream before joining Piñon. Backed by Tailwater Capital, NorTex was an independent gas storage facility with over 36 Bcf of depleted reservoir working gas capacity in north Texas. During Winter Storm Uri in 2021, NorTex delivered more than 5 Bcf of natural gas to its customers and provided enough natural gas to heat and power approximately 380,000 homes, saving customers more than $800 million.

Before entering the private equity space, Nick served as an analyst in the Energy Investment Banking team at Simmons & Company International, now Piper Sandler. As a member of the Midstream and Downstream group, he was directly involved in over $1.5 Billion private midstream M&A transactions.

Nick started his career as an investment banking analyst in the Global Natural Resources group at UBS.
Outside of Bluebonnet, Nick volunteers his time alongside his wife at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University with a BBA in Finance.
