David Cargill

Chief Financial Officer

David Cargill currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Bluebonnet Infrastructure. Over his 17-year career, he has worked exclusively in the energy industry, building deep expertise across midstream, upstream, financial services, and commodities in both the public and private sectors.

Earlier in his career, David served as Manager of Business Development and Corporate Planning at Hawkwood Energy, a private upstream company with more than 200,000 acres in the Eagle Ford. He executed over 30 acquisitions and divestitures and led marketing and midstream initiatives supporting more than 20,000 Boe/d of production.

Prior to Hawkwood, David was an investment banking analyst in J.P. Morgan’s Natural Resources group, where he worked on more than $8 billion of M&A and capital markets transactions. He began his career at Merrill Lynch Commodities (now part of Bank of America) as a risk analyst focused on physical natural gas and power option trading strategies.

David lives in Houston with his wife and three children. He holds a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University.
